
Formed in 2002, Symposia is a vibrant young female string quartet. They have extensive experience playing for all kind of functions and have played at many of the top venues in England.
Symposia performs regularly throughout the UK, from the opening of the Christmas Lights at Greenwich Market to recordings at Abbey Road, as well as in venues such as the Royal Festival Hall and the Royal Opera House. Symposia have performed for the Prime Minister of Quebec, on the Cutty Sark and for a wide variety of organisations including the Camden Music Festival and for the House of Commons. Symposia has been the residential string quartet at the Two Moors Festival where, recommended by Classic FM for their recital, the quartet was also asked to playing the solo parts in Britten’s Noye’s Fludde.
Symposia is also in demand internationally, having given several recitals in Barcelona, and recently travelled to Oslo to play for the British Ambassador.
